Ambitions careers are so messed up, like promotions coming when you're not even at work or having too many requirements for LTW.
Firefighters should be working twenty four hour shifts, but I guess that would probably unbalance things in the Sims.

We played one of our Firefighters this afternoon ... he went to work on Monday, and nobody else turned up at all.  I guess it doesn't matter, because nobody DOES anything anyway, apart from 'panic' when the bells go down!

In my country it is a part time job and they are on call and when their beeper goes off they tell their boss and get to the station as fast as possible, that is also Day and Night, there is someone on call all the time though and sometimes they can stay there. Wow I never knew a Scouts visit to the Station would be so useful!  ;D

Here as well... Our fire engine is still a little old fashioned... We rarely have fires so there's no need for high-tech stuff.

This'll be fun when I play a hobo for fun...

"Uh, I'm the new water boy! Yeah, totally..."
It's a good thing Alice and Kev finished before Ambitions was released. It would have been really boring if they could just get everything from the fire station.

There's a historic cabin in Twinbrook that has a bed, fridge and few other things in it too...so the fire station isn't only option for moochers. The stove in the fire station isn't usable though, which is odd.

If it is community property, stoves do not work.  If you ever build something and put a stove in it and then change it to community, it will give a message that some items will be removed.  I tried that and it didn't put my stove and some other things that I had put in it.  That is why there is no stove at fire station, but they won't go hungry anyway, they can eat all the cereal they want, lol.
