Chef's Cornucopia Garden
« on: April 01, 2013, 01:37:55 PM »
I deleted the first garden as there have been so many changes that it didn't fit with most of the photos.

Renaming it to Chef's Cornuopia Garden

Lot is 30 x 30 and if needed the cost is approx $44,000

Base game, WA, SN, SEA

This garden has all of the plants needed in all recipes from those packs.  There are no custom contents, mods or anything else with this garden.  Just what is found in games.

There are special plants, of beef patties, steak, cheese and egg plants.  There are money trees and two omini plants.  A section has been left open in the center for any plants to be added by those who have other expansions.
The ponds, the larger one has the lake and ocean fish, the one by the restroom has deathfish and the one at the front of the garden is the frog pond.  I believe that all of the fish needed have been provided.

The restrooms have showers and I believe that all has been made unbreakable, but not self-cleaning.

I added mingled in about the flowers and rocks some plants from SN that can be used in Alchemy.  If you don't have SN, then they won't show up and it will just be some flowers and rocks for looks.

I hope that if anyone decides to download this garden they enjoy it and find what they need here.

Did a quick glance and noticed that I had added, by the train set, some red poppies and the blue flowers from Monte Vista, but that is all that would be from there, the flowers.

Here you can see the garden with the patio and restrooms, the patio has been changed from previous.

This is the combined lake and ocean pond.  It also shows the new patio area

The two other ponds, the one with the brambles is the deathfish pond.  The frog pond is near the restroom at the front entrance.  You can also see the new patio area that became available when I changed the ponds.

There isn't a whole lot done here, except the frog pond is more at the front, and there is a section of lounge chairs in that area.

It may not show here, I probably added them after I took this photo, but hid among the brambles are alchemy plants.

This gives a good view of the plants in the garden.  Among the trees are the speciality plants, egg, cheese, steak and others.  Also around the trees are mushrooms.  If you don't have SN, it will just leave a blank spot I think.  There are at the end of the rows trees from WA.

This gives a different view of the ponds, patio areas and the garden.  It doesn't show, but nestled among the flowers, near the rocks are plants from SN, so if you have that extension pack, you will find a lot of the alchemy plants here also.

Thank you,

It has gone through several revisions before I was satisfied with it.  Changed the name from Culinary Garden to Chef's Cornucopia; felt since it was more of a bountiful harvest over cooking that cornucopia was the better description for it.

The Nectar Garden is almost finished, doing some double checking on paths, making sure that there are no problems in getting around first.

I know that it and the nectar garden will appeal to only a few, so will be happy if just a couple people like it enough to download it.

Is there a problem with one of the photos not showing up?  I can't tell from when I checked it out just now, but someone sent me a note that one wasn't working, the fourth photo.

If it isn't working, please let me know and I will fix it.  I don't know if I am not seeing it and it looks fine to me, or that it had a glitch that fixed itself.

I think it's photo -

That isn't showing up. (put some spaces in the link to make sure it'd show the link as text.) I thought it was just me as well. But cleared my history and cookies, came back and still was missing.

If the photo (it was the fourth) still isn't showing up, could someone please let me know?  For some reason I haven't had a problem in seeing the photo thus I can't tell if it has been corrected or not.

If any other photo are not showing up could someone please let me know?

Thank you,

I thought that I would be lucky if five or six liked it and downloaded it, so I was surprised at the number of people who have downloaded it.

I had been working on three different parks, strictly playgrounds, no plants.  I want to create a place where families can go and take their kids and not worry about them as they use the exercise and martial arts area.  One is geared more toward YA and adults, while the other two have an area for kids and one has a nice nursery area.  I think in one of them I am going to add a basement for those who have expansion packs with items for kids, arcade, music, and such; they can add what they want to make it a child/teen area.
Hesitated to show them as I don't have a lot of the expansion packs to make it look really nice, but there are a lot of others here like me who don't have them either and can't use some of the houses and parks because of that.  So, there may be a few who will find them of value.

Very nice and functional garden, Janna! I really like it.

But ... isn't "Cornucopia" actually the name of an exchange world?
When Einstein's students took exams, one student asked him: "But you're asking the same questions from the last term." Einstein: "That's right. Only the answers are different this time.

I'm glad that you like it.  I was both fun and frustrating to create, had to make changes in one area that then affected another area.

I chose the word because it symbolizes abundance.  The dictionary states it as a goats horn filled with harvested fruits and veggies.  Think of the cornucopia at Thanksgiving, a wicker container shaped like a horn that is full of harvested food.

The garden is my "cornucopia", a container full of harvestables.  As for the exchange, I don't go there so I have no idea of what it has been used for.

no problem, I get curious a lot and am always asking questions.  Or hunting up weird things on the internet.  Good thing I am not a cat   :)
