Neighbors having children
« on: May 28, 2013, 08:19:05 PM »
Hi there fellow simmers, I apologize if this isn't in the right section but I was just wondering something...

is there a way to make everyone of your sims in your neighborhood have children without actually playing them? I have a family with 12 kids whom are all grown up and I want all of them to have least one child without actually having to do the work :P

if anyone could respond that would be great.

Happy Simming!

Without actually playing them...nope, not really as far as I know.  Just have to rely on story progression I think.

Or you could move the young adults out and change active households, have the parents try for baby and then just go back and let the rest happen on its own.  I have also gotten my young adult pregnant and then moved them out too.  But like folcon stated, just let story progression do its thing.  I have moved my couples out and then found out later that they were expecting, but it might take a while. :)

Story Progression will only get other Sims pregnant if you have the mod for it or you're not patched up completely.   Current Sims 3 story progression will barely get people married.   So if you want the children to have kids, you're going to have to do it yourself in some way.  Sorry.

Before I started using story progression, EA's story progression did manage to get a few of my couples pregnant.  It was few and far between, but it does happen.  That is the only reason why I installed a Twallan's Story Progression, is because I quit getting pregnant sims and my towns stopped growing at all.  Don't get me wrong, if a person does not want to install a mod, that is totally fine and like Ricalynn stated, might just have to do it yourself and then move them out. :)

I suppose the other, though time consuming task, would be to invite them back into the house, have them try for baby, and then kick them back out.  Its one possible way to force more children.  Oh, I might try that.  A revolving door, move a couple in, have them try for baby, move them back out, move the next couple in, wash, rinse, repeat.

One thing I've done is try to get the couple to be expecting before moving them out.  Alternately, I give them the Family Oriented trait and the Fertility Lifetime Reward.  It's  not a sure thing, but sometimes it works.  Another is to do what Saltypaws said.  I've changed households just long enough to get a baby started by my Sim's adult children all over town, then gone back to my main household to continue playing and meet all the grandkids when they arrive.

For this, you need to go to the Modifications Board.  I'm sure there's a topic that will help you.
