Here's a bit of a random question, and I understand entirely if this isn't a fitting spot for it. But it's been bugging me, so I'd like to ask:
Does it bother anybody else to build a house that doesn't match the "feel" of a town?
Case in point: I've been wanting to build a house in a Pueblo style for... quite some time. However, I don't have any towns that it would 'blend' in with; placing one in, say, Sunset Valley would feel the same, to me, as placing a building of metal and glass in the middle of downtown Hidden Springs: completely out of place. It shouldn't bother me as much as it does; really, I play the game only to build houses, and it's not like the Sims would really care that their house is out of place. Perhaps it's living in a small town (less than 2000 people) that makes me feel this way. All of the houses here are, if not the same architectural style, than at least similar: Bungalow, Prairie, Craftsman and Farmhouses. A Pueblo house would look garishly out of place here.
Does it bother anybody else? How do you get around it?
