Twinbrook Swamp Mist
« on: October 19, 2010, 09:53:03 PM »
I had my sim buy a house in the swamp area and it's constantly foggy/misty. I've built up a fancy-ish house and cleared all the swamp brush away and I'd like to get rid of the fog. Is there a way to do this in the neighborhood editor, or am I stuck with the fog.

It's also a tiny bit annoying because it looks like it seeps into the first floor of my house too!

EA has probably put a fog emitter on the property.  You could always go into buydebug and remove it yourself, that is the only way to get rid of the fog, I believe.

Just let us know if you need help getting into buydebug.  There are many members that can and will walk you through it if you don't know how.

Thanks guys!

I've enabled buydebug, but I can't seem to find anything that resembles a fog emitter on my lot. What exactly does it look like (and would I be able to sledgehammer it?). Do I have to do anything special for it to be visible?

It is a blue orb and you can just pick it up then hit the delete key and it will be gone. Or you can sledgehammer it.  Whichever you prefer :) .

Hmm, I don't see one. I guess I'm out of luck. It must just be the whole area is coded to be foggy?

Well, if there is no fog emitter, that mist must be part of the game, which makes it all the more eerie. :o
