If you don't have a required expansion, the game will just replace the object with something similar. It isn't quite the same, but no doubt you will want to refurbish the house anyway.

There is not a lot of objects from Showtime (if I am remembering correctly ). The only ones are the outside patio chairs and the lighting, but as someone said before the game will automatically replace the items.

I haven't yet downloaded the house, but will as soon as I finish this post, but I had downloaded a house that had items from an expansion pack I didn't and it just left them blank.  The kitchen counters and a couple of other items, easy to replace. 

Love the house, it is just beautiful and am looking forward to creating a family to live in it.
