Traits at Each Life Stage
« on: August 20, 2010, 07:01:23 PM »
Does anyone know of a list somewhere of which traits become available at each life stage?  I've been trying to beat all the lifetime wishes, and I've found that the of the five traits I pick for a certain wish, none of them are available at birth.

I'm not sure. An option is to go into create a sim and create a toddler and see what traits are available. Good luck with all the life time wishes. I am trying my hat at that also. Though I am not too far yet. Another idea is for you to pick a random trait and when the sim ages up you can use life time points to change to what you need for your LTW. Sorry I can't be any more help.

Thanks for the answer.  I think I'm gonna end up going in and creating the list myself.  I'm just surprised someone hasn't done it already.

Me too, but I had just found out about it. I hardly ever play family sims and multi generation games. Maybe you can post your findings and Carl will put it in his guide.

For some of the lifetime stages it's self explanatory why certain traits aren't allowed. EA would probably have created a fuss if they'd allowed players to create Flirty toddlers (although Evil is allowed, which does amuse me).
I've two Sim toddlers in my main household when they age up to children I'll write down what traits they can select (they only have a day left to go). I think it's only with YA that all the traits become available, I can't remember if teens have any limits on traits.

I created a list for myself of which traits are available at which stages.  According to CAS, all traits are available by the Teenager stage.  Does anyone want me to post it here?  I can, I'd just need to type it up since my copy is handwritten.

I'd like to see it :) I tend to look for traits that aren't there early on, so pick something random, then forget in later stages what trait I'd originally wanted a Sim to have.

Wow, you are awsome. I am printing this and using it. Thank you so much! Have you decided what you are going to do with the sim that doesn't have the traits you want opened at birth?

He's going for the business career LTW, so I'll give him Friendly and Perceptive in place of Charsmatic and Snob.

kashelle03,

I'm adding a "thank you" in addition to Temple's Mom, "Thank you!"  :)

It's awesomesauce to see this, it really makes me wonder how deep the code goes in the Sims3.

And let me say Thank you as well.  Job well done.  I will send a note to Carl to take a look at this thread for possibility to be added to the guide.

It'd be great to have it added to the guide.  Having it written out on a piece of paper makes it more difficult to deal with.
