ROUND 6 - LIN

Yes I know this is an unusual family to have first in a round, but logistics of moving out and in sims requires this.

The whole community has moved to Isla Paradiso! The Lins score their very own island! Here they are in a sailing outing:

From left to right, there is Piranha, Minnow, Roxie (at the bottom) and Silly.

And here's their house:

First off, if you remember little Barry the dog with the purple face, he went with Marlin when he moved out just the other day. It's nice to be able to send a family member away with a lifelong friend.

Let's have a look at Piranha's life. As we saw last time, she is captivated by the DJ booth at a local club, and spends many nights there against Roxie's wishes. She is often in trouble with her aunt, but Piranha is too rebellious to care. She enjoys navigating the islands on her very own jetski. And before she knows it, it's time for her adult birthday.

She grows up into a stunning young adult with the Supernatural Skeptic trait and the ambition to be a "One Sim Band."

And since Silly shares a birthday with Piranha, Silly is also now a beautiful young adult. She gains the trait Childish and wants to one day be a "Seaside Saviour". And finally, she gets to change her name! She chooses to be called Sea.

While Piranha wastes no time in moving out, Sea decides to stay at home to keep Minnow company.

Minnow is taking up where his father left off - fishing. He likes to row his row boat to local fishing spots and catch some for his wall. The family of three spends some fun time together at the local Festival and Pool. Minnow and Sea are becoming especially close. And Sea has her first day as a life guard! So far she only has to watch the sea, but hopefully more excitement will come!

The family dogs Bruce and Sally are growing old! None of the family is looking forward to eventually having to say goodbye.

But life goes on. Sea has not forgotten her doll past, and flaunts it when she feels like it. Roxie does occasional rock concerts and even plays for the locals for tips sometimes. Sea is so vigilant with her new job that she stands her post during a thunder storm and gets struck by lightning! Poor Sea, she's not sure if she'll be able to go back to the beach any time soon.
And it's time for Minnow's birthday!

Minnow is really taking after his father - he dresses just like a beach fisherman.

He is now Friendly, and wants to make a Perfect Private Aquarium. He's also gained two stars! Sea is very appreciative of his new looks.

And that's where we leave them. Will things steam up between Minnow and Sea? We'll have to find out next time!

Next will be the usual starters to a round - the McGraws. Please review - it makes my day! :)

Thanks Trip! I agree they are all quite good looking yay :)

THE MCGRAWS

Now lets get to the usual starters of a round - the McGraws. Here they are in front of their new house in Isla Paradiso:

From left to right, there is Stiles McGraw (an elder), Monica McGraw (his wife), Anton Mcgraw (second son), and Rebecca McGraw. And down the bottom are Peewee the dog and Mona the cat.

And here's a quick tour of their new house:

It's time for Monica's birthday into Elderhood:

She and Stiles are both showing their age:

Monica chooses a sedate new wardrobe for herself.

Rebecca is making the most of her last days as a teenager. Her brother takes her out to a local club to celebrate her birthday. And hasn't she blossomed into a beauty?

Here she is in her new wardrobe:

Rebecca packs up her belongings and kisses her family goodbye - it's time for her to go and make her own way in the world.

Monica decides to use the spare room and get a boarder. Who does she choose out of the available young adults? A pretty young girl with an unusual sense of style:

Piranha is stoked to find a place with her own room and all meals included. It leaves her plenty of time to be a real DJ for local enthusiasts! Meanwhile Anton is getting down and dirty as a fireman - he puts out his first house fire for Edward Caliente. In his free time he works on his martial arts and meditation.

It's not long before the two young adults in the house find their way to each other. Anton is sure he's never seen such a fiery young woman before - and he knows better than to let it pass by. Piranha finds her interest in Anton very surprising, but she guesses it's cause he plays with fire (or maybe that he shares her love for motorbikes). Regardless the reason, the two are soon spending all their time together - and Piranha even gets Anton to takes some risks in public. As winter comes around Anton pops the question, and Piranha again surprises herself by saying yes. She never thought she would be the type to get married, but she can't get over how in love she is.

Before we return to the happy couple, have a look at what Stiles has been up to. He's achieved his life long dream to be a Hit Movie Composer! He is so pleased with his life - and he still strums that guitar when he's happy! (remember the first ever photo of this story was Stiles strumming his guitar.)

Back to the young lovers: Piranha is finding herself getting quite fond of Anton's new dog too: Spark (a fireman has to have a dalmation!). She arranges her own bachelorette party and enjoys celebrating her upcoming nuptials with her closest friends and some hunky guys that her aunt invited.

And then it's time for the wedding. Since it's snowing outside, Monica has the ceremony set up in the lounge room. It's a touching moment as Piranha walks down the aisle wearing her white wedding dress with bright orange lace (trust her to choose something unusual!). After exchanging rings there is cake and rock music. Piranha and Anton dance the night away, and Stiles and Monica do the same. Then when the guests have gone home, the newlyweds have their first time in bed together.

...everyone's growing up so fast! *sniff*...next is the Steels - expect a big surprise (a good surprise? maybe, maybe not). Please review if you can!

It's a beautiful story, pally!

It's awesome watching all these kids grow up and live their own lives. I love Piranha's wedding dress!

Hard to think that everyone in the first family is either grown up or old. I can't wait to see the new lives of Anton and Piranha, though.

Her wedding dress is indeed cool. Nothing wrong with a loud color to make it stand out.

thanks so much for commenting Lilygirl and Trip! I'm glad you liked Piranha's wedding dress :D

THE STEEL FAMILY

Here's where they planted their house in Isla Paradiso:

And here's the family:

From left to right: Christopher Steel (adult), Mercury Steel (teen), Blair Steel (adult), and down the bottom, Kobe the cat with one one of her kittens Avalanche.

Life is not going great for the Steels - it hasn't in a while. Ever since Chris got that drill machine, he's been obsessed with it and completely neglected the rest of his family. He doesn't do his ghost busting anymore. All he does is sit at the drill machine or disappear below ground looking for who knows what. Not to mention, the machine makes a terrible noise that keeps the others up at night. Blair has finally had enough.

There was a lot said in their blow out argument.

"You never help with anything in the house - you're always digging!"
"Why don't you do your respectable ghost busting job anymore!? I can't believe I have a husband who digs for a living!"
"Well....well... you're getting fat!"
"That's it! I want a divorce!!!"

Christopher isn't quite sure how it happened, but one moment he had (what he thought was) a happy family, and then he's alone. No wife, no son, no cats, nothing. How will he survive?
...We'll check back on him after we've seen where Blair goes:

Blair makes sure she gets a decent sum of cash from the divorce, and buys a little modern, whimsical house as far away from Christopher as possible:

She drags Mercury with her (he's in shock and not really sure what he wants), because she is sure he'll get into no good with his father. And quickly she sets her sights on the future - it's time to forget the past and live again. Mercury is shocked to find her quickly wooing the local Alien Yoopew Ti'Zuganov. Yoopew is quite eager for the relationship - he's been waiting for an eligible partner to pop up. Blair is so quick with her flirting that it's not long before they're exchanging rings in the living room. Mercury is finding that his mother's happiness does not make him happy. On the contrary - trying to study while his mother and stepfather are playing like children is disheartening. But Blair does not seem to notice, and she and Yoopew go out on the town on date after date.

"Honey, something about that massage makes me feel... more fertile."
"At your age? That'd be weird! Haha..."

Then suddenly Blair is rushing off to the hospital, and delivers... twins! Tamli (girl) is absent minded and good. Surom (boy) is a loner and loves the outdoors. And Blair, completely exhausted, finds herself aging up almost instantly.

Time for a more laid-back, beachy wardrobe.

At least the cats are happy enough - Avalanche now has a playmate: Desert (son of Savannah and Nile Hosni). They both age up into beautiful cats.

Meanwhile Mercury is forging his own path. He doesn't get on well with his stepfather, so he spends as much time away from home as possible. Thankfully he still has his girlfriend Rina Windsoar to rely on. He's discovering more of his wizard abilities, and he even finds time to reconnect with his dad - his mother may despise him, but that doesn't mean Mercury has to. Then Mercury celebrates his birthday quietly by himself - Blair is caught up with the twins, and doesn't remember.

Mercury has grown into a strong young adult. No longer is he the nerdy teenager - now he is tall and handsome and even a bit intimidating.

After he packs his bags and puts Kobe in her carry cage, Mercury has one more order of business. "I'm a man now and I don't have to listen to you anymore!"

Funnily enough, Blair thinks that Yoopew's new look is hilarious.

Will the twins - now toddlers - ever know their father as anything other than a toad?

And as we leave the new Ti'Zuganov family, lets go back to see how Christopher is doing:

...not well.

With nothing to look forward to, Christopher has let himself go. He even demolished the house and now lives in a shack on the barren ground where the house used to be.

As the days go by Christopher grows old in quiet misery. He still digs his holes and explores them - he even does some ghost hunting - but all of that is so he can leave Mercury with something worthwhile when he's gone. Some days he doesn't even bother to wash.

Then one night he finds himself playing host to the miscreants of the full moon. And it occurs to him - he's just like them. All he needs is a potion from the local shops, and he can become what he deserves to be - a zombie.

....I know that was sad! But I had to have some sad bits this round. :(

That was certainly a departure from the usual chapters! But it was great! Blair marrying an alien/toad seems very much in-character for her. And the alien toddlers look great.

I would say "poor Chris," but I think he brought his fate upon himself when he called Blair fat. :P
