Can you rehire the butler you just fired?

Hi,
I overreacted and fired my butler when I found out my wife wanted an affair with him. I didn't put into consideration that he was an old friend of my sim and his pets, that he saved my sims by extinguishing at least 5 major house fires, gave me a large dance mat at my wedding and always prepared outstanding quality meals Etc. when I saw how sad he was to be fired - he was weeping a bit before embracing my sim before he left broke my heart
I unfortunately saved too so I can't go back :/
I tried hiring and firing other butlers until I would have him back but the game keeps giving me another butler each time.
The town is Appaloosa plains. His name is Terry Titus.

I have, if someone other then Terry is hired, just fire them until Terry comes back.

You might try recovering a previous save file that still has Terry as the butler.  Click here for instructions.

I have had one butler on one of my games that always, comes back.  I even fired him twice because he refused to shower or sleep lol 

Butlers tend to be somewhat glitchy anyway, but still helpful.  Unless... they take a tired baby out of their crib!  lol
