Weird Actions When Writing Horror Novels

My writer Sims goes ballistic when she tries writing Horror novels. Her arms wave all around and she doesn't sit to type on the laptop, but letters go in the laptop nonetheless. The green bar doesn't appear either. What can I do to fix this? Thanks.

Do you have Supernatural installed? I thought I heard that though the Horror genre was added with the Supernatural patch (so it's available to all players), only players with Supernatural installed can successfully write Horror novels. Others will experience what you described.

Does your writer Sim have the coward trait? I don't know if it would cause this, but it sounds reasonable.

What I was experiencing prior to installing SN was quite different than what ilovethesims describes.  The Sim would sit at the computer desk, but as soon as she started to try to write the book, the game would reset her, and she would "jump" to a standing position in the middle of the house.

It sounds like she is afraid to write Horror.

I had a sim do this a long time ago when she was working on Romance.  She had reached her fifth romance novel and just as she would finish the novel she'd jump up from her chair.  The game never registered that she'd completed the novel, even though she did finish it several times over.  I was so irked at the game (she and her husband were writers by day and hackers by night), that I deleted the file and started fresh.  I checked the other forums for help, but nothing ever came up.  I still don't know what caused this, but I think it had to do with a glitch in my game, just like the melting floor glitch I had until I figured out a plausible solution: one teleport cheat to the floor and the game is fixed!
