Military career and pension?

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone knew this but in my old game I was in the military career and then went up to level 10 to astronaut and then I was able to retire instead of quit my job.  I received $430 a day in a pension.  Now I started a new game with this career path because it pays so well, went all the way again to level 10 and became an astronaut also but then I noticed that when I went to "retire" that option wasn't available anymore only to "quit" my job.

Anyone know why?  It was nice getting $430 a day in income coming in.

Your sim has to be an elder to retire.

Ohhh, now I see.  Yes I was an elder in my last game.  That was before I found out about cheats and turning off age progression.
