Sims 3 on Mac - CC won't delete from trash because "in use"

I have been trying to delete all cc because my game has been crashing. When I deleted all of it, some of it still showed in my CAS. Then, when I try to empty my trash of all the deleted files, it won't delete them because they are in use. I also deleted everything in my launcher, even content from the stores.
