Sims stuck, reset not working

Alright... I love this Sim I've been playing with and would rather not lose the family she created, but unfortunately she's stuck. She can move, kind of, but its like she can't move out of this small area. She keeps thinking that things are in her way, but they aren't and the doors are not locked. I moved all the furniture out of the room and tried reset Sim, but that didn't work either. I also tried having her leave the home to go into town, but again, she still thinks she's blocked in.
  Anyone have an explanation?

Try going to build/buy mode and use testingcheats enable and also buydebug on. Perhaps you can see something that doesn't show up in Live Mode.

If nothing shows up, you can still use MoveObjects on, and then you can grab the Sim in build/buy mode and move them to a save place perhaps that way.

... Or you could just try in Edit Town Mode to evict the sim with the house(the entire household) and then put it back to see if it works !

That process of evicting etc. worked well for me on a sim that couldn't interact properly.
I have included the reference to the process description in Technical Help. One note, if your family owns venues, vacation homes, or partnerships, be sure to sell them before evicting or you will lose them.

Have to say the evict/replace sounds like the best solution to me too. It sounds like the lot is a bit borked anyway, if MoveObjects allows you to take the Sim out, that still doesn't fix whatever routing problem they had in the first place. Edit Town should be a good way to shake things up a little.
