Sim can't complete opportunity

Hello! My sim had the opportunity to complete the "Making nice with Newsies" work opportunity, and she's done what she was supposed to do, which was "develop a relationship with Nicholas Riverhawk. Since then, she has not been able to "complete" the opportunity, even thought she goes to work everyday. Please help

I'm new here- so not sure if I need to tell this, but I'm playing the PC version of the Sims 3

Are you playing in Hidden Springs?  What career is the opportunity for?   Do you actually ever see the word "Working" on your career panel or does it say "Going to Work" all day?  Is the building you're using a combined rabbit hole, meaning it has more than 1 building in it?

I am playing in Hidden Springs. The Sim was the CEO at Doo Peas Corporation- now she's Chairman of the Board. When she's at work, it says "Working".
