Blue Screen! (solved)
« on: March 21, 2013, 02:55:40 PM »
I was playing my townie deca dynasty file, and to get a better screenshot I pressed the tab button, however instead of doing anything the game became this color. I could still control the sims as in change from sim to sim, however I could not see a thing. I don't want to fail it I litterelly just completed generation 2's moving requirement and this.

Is there anyway to get rid of this. I do have a copy of the gamefile, which I might be able to go back to but I don't really want to do If it can be fixed. Can anyone help?

Edit: The blue is only on the game, not the actual computer. I tried to save and quit then reload. I't did not work and I can go on to edit town options ect. but on edit town the screen is blue still.

Did you hit the tab button again and it never changed?

Have you tried Alt + Enter?  Do you play in fullscreen or windowed mode normally?

Have you cleared caches and updated your Graphics Drivers?

I don't have any mods or CC, and I play in windowed mode. I have updated the graphic drivers but still nothing.

As a test, do you get the same effect if you try going to Map View/Edit town in a new game? No need to save it or even play it, just to see if it happens on a newly started game too.

That's not a good sign. Did you load that backup file already to see if that has the problem as well?

You might be stuck with that, because it really starts to sound like it's just that specific save file.
