When you get the sim finder ap for your phone, the game basically creates a sim for you (in my experience so far). One of the main ways to trigger the 'gotta blog' moodlet for a personal blog is a new friendship. You can exploit this by giving your sim the charismatic trait (already boosts followers anyway), and summoning a sim with the 'snob' trait. You can then compliment them a few times to be very fast friends. Rinse and repeat for more 'gotta blogs'. Make sure to avoid blogging while blogged out though!

EDIT: Added to that, once you get the relationship transmogrifier, this will be even easier still!

If you are specific in the traits you want, the game will introduce you to townies as well if you don't know a lot of people.   They start with the random NPCs that are on the list for things like "dancer" when you need them.

I tried to be very specific  with the sim finder and no one showed up, will the game make a sim if I am uber specific or do they just not send anyone.

I really am not sure if I just experienced a bug or if I am limited in who I can meet.... /=

You should have gotten a notification in the top left saying the exact name of the person they were sending.   Did you not get that?

You can get the 'gotta' blog moodlet 3 times on the one sim. Make them your friend first, then good friend, and then best friend. If you keep summoning snobs, getting to BF will be very quick, at least until you unlock the option with the relationship transmogrifier. You could probably even go for more with romantic as well, but that will likely affect your reputation.

EDIT: You can use the same sim over and over, actually. Change their relationship down one level, and then change it back up one. When it goes back up one, you get the 'gotta blog' moodlet again.  It's 6am Friday morning of week 1, and my sim has just sold his first personal blog for over §6000! And that was before I latched onto the trick totally, and was relying on talking to sims to make them friends. Additionally, without having used a wish enhancing serum, or completing his LTW, he has over 60,000 LTH, mostly to do with social networking wishes.

I haven't done the other two types of blog yet, but my guess at this point would be a) use a witch to transform items into gems and metals b) an anger for fish c) buy gems and metals from the consignment stores.

For the review one, make a children's book writer, and read and review your own books.

EDIT: It's worth mentioning that the 'blogged out' moodlet happens by chance, not by how many times you blog. The higher your social networking skill, the less likely you are to get blogged out.

EDIT: I just made it to a five star personal blog again by 10pm Saturday - and my sim still spent some time fulfilling wishes also, and got blogged out twice. There is a 40% chance of recieving a buyout offer in the mail.
