Can't Go To Work

Whenever the car pool comes to pick my Sim up from the house, the icon at the top left for Go To Work is automatically cancelled. I click on the carpool several times, but each time the action is cancelled. I tried to click the workplace and the action is cancelled. What seems to be the problem?

Did you try closing and re-starting the game?

that happened to me recently as well, ilovethesims. What solved it for me was making sure my worker sim was dressed in his uniform.
