Board Breaking and Gems

Hi all! I have tried to no avail to get gems by having my sim (level 10 MA and Athletic skill) use the board breaking method. Each time I have her break space rocks for hours and I don't get any gems.

Are they just automatically added to your inventory? or do they simply appear on the ground around your sim after he/she breaks a rock?

They should appear on the ground in the general vicinity of the board breaker. I haven't done this in a while, so don't know if a recent patch might be affecting this.

hmm, so they're supposed to appear on the ground then. Well, they're def. not showing up. I haven't tried it since reinstalling my games and I just cleared my caches so I'll give it a try again.

You have to complete one of the skill challenges to unlock this. I believe it's 150 boards of oak or harder.
