Maid and Repairman Can't Come Inside My House

Hi Everyone!

Just as the subject says, for some reason I KEEP requesting for a repairman to fix my dishwasher and sink, but he/she will get to the door and then turn around and drive away. My maid will do the same thing! I don't understand why. I invited my Sims' parents over the day before and that worked out fine, but immediately after, I hired a maid and called the repairman, but they're not able to come inside my house for some reason.

Also, I installed the University EP on the 6th, but as of yesterday, my game has been running suuuuuuuuuuuuuper slow. It's not even something I can't work around. It stops and goes every 2 seconds. I have a few games saved, would it help to delete them???

Welcome to the forum!

You don't have the doors locked right?  Or a locked gate?   Can your Sims actually get to the broken sink?

Thanks for the welcome! 

But no, the doors aren't locked and I don't have any gates. Also, I haven't tried having my Sims get to the sink. I guess I just assumed that the maid and repairman should at least be able to come in the house, but as soon as they get to the door, they walk away. I've also tried deleting the door and putting in a new one and that hasn't worked.
