Lost extra University traits on move
« on: March 24, 2013, 07:28:23 PM »
I have three sims I played as young adults and through University. One had a father who got a degree as well.

All three sims got the extra two traits - one from reaching the top of a social group, and one from graduating university.

Once they got back to the main hood, I moved them out of the house they were sharing. One to a new place, the other two I married and moved to a new house.

Now all three of them have lost their extra traits! I'm really puzzled. I know they had all seven when they moved back, but now they are all down to five. The couple I am playing have their degree history. It's clear they graduated and got A's, but no extra traits.

The father who attended uni still has his extras, so it seems like the issue happened on the move.

Anyone else encountered this bug?

I haven't encountered this bug Jean but personally I had a sim get into a relationship whilst at uni, the boyfriend then moved in with her (with no input from me) end of uni, he came back to the house but she was stuck on the way back and I couldn't reset her. I ended starting a new game. Unfortunately I think uni is bugged as all expansions are for a while.

Have you tried the midlife crisis? Maybe you can get all traits back? Mind you I did notice it seems to just reset the core original five... so might be a moot point...

I tried going back to a save just before graduation, and took out all mods. (I play with Awesomemod and Master Controller.) No other CC.

The university group comes back with their extra traits intact, but loses them on the move. Very strange.

I went back to the main game and used MC to add them back, which seems like cheating. Doesn't seem to cause any other problems.
