Wrong game downloaded--soloved (I think :) )

I gave in and bought Aurora Skies.  Bought the extra points for the gold.  I had 2000, but needed an extra 1,900 for the gold.  Bought them, clicked on the gold and downloaded it.
But, what downloaded is the regular.  And all of my points are gone.  Am really ticked off.  I will now have to somehow contact them and see if they will fix it, and not even sure if they will. 

I wanted the gold, I focus on families, so that was what I was looking forward to having.

There isn't much of a difference between the aurora skies normal and aurora skies gold except for the file name in your downloads folders on the computer.  What is the name of the .sims3pack?  And if it downloaded the wrong one - did you go to the store and try to download from the gold tab?

I wasn't sure where it should go, it was EA, but yet it is misc. help also. Flip a coin aspect and put it here (EA thread).  Thank you for moving it.

Yes, I clicked on the gold tab.  I checked and it shows that the game bought is the Gold one.  It is the educational aspect, the walker, playpen and other educational stuff that I had wanted.  Thus willling to spend the extra money to get those.

I asked on EA site and they remarked that there was some problems, so that may be it. 
I guess I am being impatient.  I wavered back and forth about getting it, now that I decided I want it, I can't get it.   

I'm figuring that I can uninstall and reinstall it, maybe things will have fixed themselves at the site and it will download properly. 

I splurged and bought the package that had Monte Vista along with the points.  We received our income tax so I gifted myself with the games. 

I can download that one and check it out, I am just being childish and wanting the one I was really interested in now instead of later.

Did you go into the game and make sure the child items cannot be purchased in Buy Mode?

Yes,  It says Gold only on the items.  When I checked it shows that I have bought the Gold version so I am hoping that I can redownload it.  I am going to wait until tomorrow as there seems to be some problems with the site.  Remarks of points not showing up. 
I found a notice about some work on the site so that is probably the reason. 
I just picked a lousy time to buy a game.

The choices of games still shows just AS.  I went to the download section to see if the items, walker and such were there, I was hoping they had shown up.  They were there.
I had looked yesterday, they weren't there. 
Confused, but I think it has been fixed. 

They were doing some maintance to the site to "make it better" (my rewording) which from the help section was, as normal, causing other problems. 

So, if the only difference is the items that are proved between the two, mainly the educational ones, I am happy, I don't care if I click on AS or AS-Gold, if it takes me to the same town and I have the extra items that I paid for, I don't care about the name. 

Unless there is a difference between the two besides the items, I think it is solved.  Or maybe resloved would be a better word.
