Moving towns?

Hi all, I'm relatively new to sims. I have sims 3 on PC and about 6 expansion CDs too now (addicted)
I'm thinking of purchasing some sim points to but the newest town, is it Aurora Skies? Anyway my question is if I buy this & download it can I move my families to the new town or do I have to start all over again?

Also is this available on disc to buy and load in the same way as the expansion CDs.

No, this is not available on disc. You can only buy it with simpoints from the sims store. No towns have been released on a disc. Even Monte Vista and Barnacle Bay were not released on disc, although they were available in retail stores. All you got was a cd case with a code, you still had to enter the code at the sims store to download the town.

That's good to know Twinmum! I was at Wal-Mart looking at the selections to buy, and I almost bought BB, than thought I'd rather have the SP 70's 80's and 90's! Now that I know that, I'll either not buy it or just do it at the sim store.
