Hair

I wanted my female sim to have different hairstyles for different clothing eg; messy hair my sleep wear, neat and up for formal, casual hair for everyday. So when I was CAS I changed the hairstyle to each clothing but in the game she just had one hairstyle so sent her to the mirror and changed her appearance, swapped her clothes then changed her apperence again so on and so on but that didn't work either, so I'm a bit confused on what in doing wrong.

There's a little paddlock icon (top right I think) that unlocks the hair so you can set a different one per outfit

Where is this icon ? I tried and didn't find it. Is it in the plan outfit page or somewhere else?

You have to go to the mirror in the outfit you want to change the hair for and 'change appearance'. The padlock icon is in the top right of the window (below the x), to the left of the 'show custom content only' star.
