Gardening glitch is fixed by patch 1.50.
« on: February 27, 2013, 06:47:48 PM »
Anyone who has been unable to garden in WA locations.  I have just discovered that my sims can now garden, collect fruit and veg while on vacation.  I don't know if the standard patch fixed this, or it is fixed by the Super Patch as I used the super patch when the standard one would not install.  But, either way, we can now garden normally when on vacation  ;D.

I played WA again recently and my Sims can do it previous to patch 1.50.
Now I realize playing the Sims 3 on Mac is playing the game of installation and uninstallation...

I never had any trouble gardening in the World Adventures locations.  Did this happen to you often, Wai?

Pam,

This has been a problem ever since the supernatural patch.  The gardening page in the journal remained blank and the sim was unable to harvest in the WA locations.  After a lot of trying different things I found that if the sim collected nothing prior to travelling, then the journal would be initialised in the destination town and if the first item collected was a harvestable, the plants page would be available in that location and your home town only.  From other questions on this forum, I know many players had this problem and obviously told them how to partially solve it.  I believe it was fixed for those who bought supernatural when they installed the EP.  But, it remained for anyone without SN.  I was pleased to find it is finally fixed, though I don't know if it was the 1.50 patch, or if the superpatch fixed it.  It might be useful to know which, as, if it was the superpatch this may be a way around any possible similar situations which may happen with new patches.
