latest patch update

I have tried 3 times now to download the latest update patch & it is not working. It just keeps looping itself around to the original patch & starts over again. What's up with that? And how does a person fix it?? I want to play the game, not play around.

Do you live in the US or somewhere else?   Have you tried the suggestion in the patch thread for Non-US residents?

Also since this is about the patch, I'm moving it to the technical help board.

I had this problem (UK).  I followed the instructions for downloading the super patch from the EA site and that was successful, though it took about 15 minutes to do.  Have you tried the super patch?  Or is your problem with this patch?

There is a link to the SuperPatch in the the Patch 1.50 thread on the EA Announcements board.  It's in the first few posts.   It will take you to SimsVIP and they have a direct link to the one given out by EA.

ok, figured it out & i am a little embarassed to say as it was as simple as my Origin not being up-to-date. silly me. thanks for your help though.
