Sims Too Skinny
« on: February 11, 2013, 09:47:59 PM »
Ah if only life worked like this, but no matter what I do my sims are just too skinny.  I play dynasty style with two CAS sims as my starter couple, and they were both a nice healthy weight.  The sims always look better with about 1/3 up the weight bar.  Anyways, my kids are now grown, and I've made a point of always feeding everyone when the good food moodlet gets to 3h.  Except my boy is super skinny, it makes me want to get him counciling.  He and his sister both have the athletic skill (dad was a pro athlete), but they hardly every work out.  I like my guys to be thick in the waist with muscle, and my girls curved.  WHY ARE THEY SO SKINNY! I'm gonna start feeding them ice cream at this point, which makes me cringe to loose the good food moodlet for the stuffed one.

You might want to save up for the Body Sculptor LTR. It will put on a bit of weight, muscles, whatever, without all that effort.

I got the impression that you expect sims to fatten by feeding them greasy food. If that's correct, you're getting the game's mechanics wrong.

Sims put on weight when you feed then after the "stuffed" moodlet is on, the food itself doesn't matter. If you feed a sim 2 buckets of ice cream it won't gain weight, but if you feed it 3 heads of lettuce it will.

I think that the Sim's genetics determine this.

If a Sim has the "fat gene", they will always be fat, no matter how you train them. If you have them eat healthy and work out, they will become thin for a while, but revert to being fat pretty quickly. Similarly, if they have the "thin gene", they will always be thin. If you feed them non-stop, yes they will get fat, but only for a while.

Just a thought, Is your screen resolution set correctly?  I have this problem when I first install the game.  I just change the resolution!
