How to breed dog?

I have a female I would like to breed. I do not want to get/adopt another pet. Is there a way to breed her with something close to what she looks like?

If you found a stray or another sims dog you liked and had the dogs relationship high enough you could probably have them breed. Otherwise I'd say that you would have to adopt one.

If you don't want to go to too much trouble you could always adopt a male and then when your female is pregnant put the male up for adoption.
