Do You Have To Have The Sims 3 Installed To Play Supernatural?

I realize if it's an expansion pack, yes you have to have The SIms 3 installed.  I really want to play Supernatural to play as a vampire or fairy.  I figured The Sims 2 Nightlife might be harder to find in stores now.

You can probably find all of the TS2 EPs if you look hard enough, though. I was even able to get TS1 recently.

Vampires came with the Late Night EP, so if you have that one you'll have vamps without Supernatural.  As for fairies, witches, zombies, werewolves (did I miss any?) - if you want them you need SN.

Vampires also come with Supernatural for those that don't have LN I think? Late Night is easy to find online but in stores unless it's a computer game specialist shop it probably will be harder to find, since most shops I've seen only stock the base game and the latest EP and SP.

I don't have late night.  I wanted that.  That requires The Sims 2 to be installed right?

Late Night is a TS3 expansion pack; Night Life is a TS2 expansion. It doesn't help that a lot of TS3 players like to inaccurately refer to Late Night as Night Life.

Grim Reaper, are you talking about Sims 2 or Sims 3?  They are two different games entirely.  Expansion packs for TS2 will not work in TS3, and vice-versa.

Both TS2 and TS3 have the base game and various expansion packs.  The base game is required in order to play the game.  Expansion packs add different features to the game but only work if the player has the base game installed.
