I must say, its a fun change to just see updates on how things are going. I'm not very good at Dynasties so keeping up with others who are good is very enjoyable.

Congratulations on your first immortal!

Thanks Easilyamusd123.

Not much to say today. Serrano reached Level 8 of the Business Career and gained 57,000 LTHP for completing his LTW. This was done by having him have a "Get Promoted" wish (1,000 LTHP) + his LTW (27,500 LTHP) + Wish Enhancing Serum (2x LTHP from every wish). When he got promoted, he got 2,000 LTHP. When he became CEO, he got 55,000 LTHP. And since you all passed Maths in school, you can put 55 and 2 together and see how I got 57,000. Right?

De Arbol became a teen. I dressed him up in a dapper suit and Policeman style sunglasses. He's ready for business, people! He's also Level 8 in writing and finishing off his Horror Novel, Screaming of the Pups. I can't give a full list of novels by De Arbol (something along the lines of a Confidentiality Agreement)* but here's a rundown of his current novels. The names of the real-life inspiration are in (parenthesis):

Screaming of the Pups (Silence of the Lambs)
The 20-20 Side (The Blind Side)
Larry Otter and the Half-Baked Spoof (Harry Potter)
The Closed Front: Metropolis Man on humor (The Open Side - Richie McCaw's autobiography. What do you mean, "Who's Richie McCaw"!?)

I finally realized I was an eejit (idiot). I've had Serrano do everything humanely possible to get more valuable paintings. But then I realized. He's had Fresco Fest, many paintings, many opportunities and he's got a great clean environment to paint in. But people, he hadn't got the Extra Creative LTR! So I had to get it for him, lest my eejit-ness rub off on some poor, unsuspecting Sim.

Serrano also grabbed the Philosopher's Stone. I spent a considerable amount of time transfiguring stuff into gold and I want to see if there's a direct correlation between the value of the initial item and the value of the golden ingot left behind. I suppose I do have s3pe so I could just check, but hey, sometimes you feel like doing things the old-fashioned way.

That's pretty much it in Pepper Town. If anyone's interested, I'd be happy to upload my current Spreadsheet to Google Docs so you can see my progress.

I'd be careful using the philosopher's stone, as it can backfire and turn the sim using it into a gold statue, killing them. That would be the end of the dynasty.

Thanks for the warning, Lysita. I've only been having the spouse use the Stone, though, so it won't be the end.

Today, Robin returned from the beautiful Egypt with a beautiful Vacation Home overlooking the Nile under her belt. This means that we're sorted for when she dies and we need a place to stay there.

It's currently week 11 day 4. We've made fantastic progress thus far and I look forward to soon welcoming Generation 4.

Just an update.

Serrano purchased his two properties, the business tower (henceforth and forevermore renamed "Corporate Conglomerate Simolean Inc.") and the Elixir Consignment Store ("Serrano's Elixir's and Sundries"). He also maxed the Business Career, becoming a Power Broker, and therefore only needs to Age Up, get a portrait painted and verify his BF's until he's done.
De Arbol is one challenge away from SuperMaxing Writing, the one where you need $30,000 earned. His wife, Juliet, also gave birth to Generation 4, a beautiful baby boy named Anaheim Pepper, who inherited the Genius and the Perceptive trait. Anaheim will be the family Doctor.

That's it for now, folks.

Immortality
A monologue by De Arbol Pepper

My family has been alive forever, or that's what it seems.

My name is De Arbol Pepper, loyal husband to Juliet, son of Robin and Serrano, and Grandson of the noble Habenero and Jake. I'm a level 10 Writer, hence why my family had me write this installment in the saga. I am a general Fiction writer, at least, that is what my Agent tells me. I want desperately to write Masterpieces, which, no doubt, I will do soon. My family's goal is total and unopposed immortality, which (I assume) Grandmama would aim for at ANY cost.

Grandmama was brought into this world in the early days of Barnacle Bay, back when the townies were young and pirates were abound. She grew up in a modest lifestyle and, looking back, it is probably that that caused her to want to become Immortal. Our family is currently estimated to be worth about $800,000, and we all want to hit that One Million Simolean mark. Grandmama's modest upbringing lead to her meeting Grandpappy in Week 1, Day 1, with a wedding later that day. She achieved her goal of being Immortal, this being dubbed Atauserk Otokrak, a term introduced to our Watcher by the Schip of Perkke.

And so came Serrano. Daddy was destined to be a painter, and he is one to be rivaled. He has been called the Michaelangelo of his time, the Picaso of Painting at Present, and even the Fresco Fiend. I am immensely proud of him. His paintings have contributed to most of the family wealth, or so we are told. I know for a fact that Occult Magick is at hand - the powers of the Genie have given us about $500,000. He is now also immortal, being immortalized as the Fresco Fiend forevermore.

And now we come to me, the humble author. I married my sweetheart Juliet Verona (who had been a Faerie for most of her Adult Life until I threw her a bone, and a potion). I have one child, a toddler named Anaheim. We have not tampered with any odds of Genders, yet all Natural Babies born to the family are all males. There is a lot of pressure on my baby, I hope that he doesn't crack. I am not Immortal, I am simply a Young Adult at the moment.

Finally, we come to conclusions. Today I must retire to my bed in the specialized flat my family builds for each generation*, and we are due to have a family dinner soon.

Thank you for listening to my rambles. This is De Arbol Pepper, signing off.

* Each Generation gets a flat built onto the house to fulfill their requirements - Serrano has a Painting Studio, De Arbol has a Writing Room, Anaheim a study, and Habenero, a private Greenhouse.

Thanks to Schipperke for prodding me and reminding me about this story. ;) I've no intention of continuing it and any shred of hope for it to be HOF has gone (so many glitches and bugs, I lost the will to continue, decided to forgo HOF and just cheat to keep the Sims happy), so I'm moving it to the graveyard. I still play them from time to time though.
