Sims 3 lagging on a capable system

Hello I own The Sims 3 (all expansions and stuff packs) the game works; however, I keep on getting "it looks like you have installed an unofficial game modification" which after a clean installation (and an update from the launcher) should not be showing up...

Below are some posts (I asked on another forum) from this thread  that are relevant and may be helpful to the situation...

I keep getting the "Unofficial game mod. error" which should not be happening... I read this and...

1. If you currently have a core mod installed (such as Awesomemod), the base game patch version of the mod does not match the base game patch version you have. Whenever you patch your game, you need to check for updated versions of all mods you use (not only core mods, but also script mods, xml tuning mods, ini mods, etc.). Make sure to delete your cache files after removing them to ensure they're completely gone.

I have deleted the cache files and I have no major mods (except for NoBuildSparkles and nointro). I have tried removing both NoBuildSparkles and nointro and the message still occurs. So we can cross that off the list...

2. If you do not have any mods installed whatsoever, something may have gone wrong in the patching. Backup your game and then uninstall and reinstall, first installing the base game and patching it fully before installing any expansions.

Yep I have tried a clean install (I own all expansions and stuff packs) and I updated directly from the launcher.

3. You are using a no-cd or no-dvd crack. Remove the crack and play with the game disk. If you do not have a game disk, buy the game and get one.

I own the game and no all my expansions and/or stuff packs have been legally bought.

4. If it's none of the above, then the game is just being stupid for no particular reason, and as long as you can tell it to continue past the message and play the game and don't experience any major errors, don't worry about it.

Mmkay. Well is there anyway I can stop the stupid popup? :rolleyes:

If you remove ALL your CC and it's still appearing... something's wrong with your game. Otherwise, maybe it's something that's been downloaded by accident?

If it's not causing problems other than an annoying message I wouldn't worry. Maybe someone else can help more.  :rolleyes:

If you are sure that you have completely removed all CC/mods and is still getting that message, you can try using the Super Patch to patch the game again. The Super Patch will indiscriminately overwrite and patch all game files up to the given patch level regardless of what state and patch level the current game files are at and should eliminate all oddities that arise from patching problems.

I've already used the "Super Patch" and it installed successfully. I am at a loss... I have done a completely clean install of The Sims 3 (plus the exps and stuff packs) and patched again (with the Super Patch) the problem still persists. I made sure to install them in the proper order according to EA.

I've added my custom content and mods. I wanted back where it belongs because the message still persists... oh well. The only thing I wish I could do is stop the message from popping up.

Moving on... if I choose to ignore the error I can still play the game; however, I experience horrible lag in CAS and normal game play. My system is not the best, but it should be able to run The Sims 3. Though I will admit my GPU (Nvidia GeForce GT430) is not too good so I lowered some settings in The Sims 3 to help it a bit.
