New Mailbox glitch

Posting this in seasons because it started for me with that EP.  Twice now, picking up mail can load my sim's inventory with gift box icons that say that they're omni seeds and bills (I have the No Bills Ever reward).  These are frozen in my inventory.  It doesn't appear to be something that's specific to a sim, it will happen to any sim that takes the mail from a bugged mailbox.  Is anybody else experiencing this? Does anybody have a way to get this crud out of inventory?

After installing Seasons I'm also having a mailbox glitch, though a different one. My sims can't get mail. Every time I use the 'Get Mail' option, they walk up to the mailbox, open it and then stop abruptly. Nothing happens and no items appear in sim's inventory (though there should be books from the book club and the ones my sim has written).

They can pay bills and donate to charity, but can't get new mail.

Regarding my problem (not the omni plant seeds) in case anyone else encounters it: solved by using the buydebug cheat, deleting the mailbox and placing a new one.

Do take a look at the link Shirin provided. She didn't explain, but it's similar to the problem you're having.
