Glitch > Sim not going to work (RESOLVED)
« on: January 03, 2013, 06:05:38 PM »
Hey Fellow Sims3 Lovers,

I'm not sure if this issue was resolved - the other threads don't seem to quite match up with what's been happening to my Sim, so I thought I'd start a new topic and see what people said about it.

My military sim won't go to work. Or more precisely, the game isn't letting him.

When I get the notification that he starts work in one hour, the time before work resets to '2 days and 1 hour'. Clicking the 'Go to Work' button in the banner down the bottom doesn't work. I get a message that says it's not his work hours. Clicking 'work' at the military hall doesn't work either.

This sim has been on one free vacation, but it didn't start happening until well after that occurred so I can't relate the one to the other. He has not traveled to the 'overseas' destinations.

Also, there are 8 sims and 2 cats in the household. This sim is the only one to which it's happening. Most of the others are self-employed but there are two in the Law Enforcement career and one in the Criminal career and they all go to work without issue.

Any suggestions?

any recent births/marriages/graduations? I have had situations where the notification that the carpool will be coming for my sim in one hour, but due graduations and such she has a few days off. Have you tried using the reset sim command?

There were a couple of graduations close together. That could be it.

No I haven't tried the ResetSim trick. It never occurred to me because the sim himself wasn't stuck anywhere but I'll keep this in mind if it happens again.

Thanks, JS.

Hey JS - it must be the graduation. My youngest sim is graduating at City Hall and those that were meant to work today got the day off.

Thanks for the heads up.
