Stuck moodlet
« on: February 01, 2013, 12:10:47 PM »
I have tried getting rid of "sick due to tieberium in inventory" using the TestingCheatsEnabled and shift clicking on my sim - nothing comes up to give me that option.

This moodlet has been in this game for about 5 sim days and says "sick due to.... 2 min remaining"!

How can I clear this?? It is corrupting my game and now I have trouble saving it.

THANKS for any and all tips or info!!!

Does your Sim have any tiberium in their inventory? If so that's why it won't go away.

NO - I have checked both reg inventory and Family (or whatever it is called) = no Tiberium anywhere!

Thanks for moving this - I was not sure where to put this problem.

Have you tried resetting the sim or perhaps putting some tiberium in to reset the moodlet?

Have you tried enabling testing cheats and then shift-clicking on the moodlet?  That should remove it, and if there's no tiberium in your inventory, the moodlet shouldn't come back.

Edit:  Or maybe it's shift-control-click, I can never remember.  But whichever it is, it should work.

I think it's control-click on the moodlet.

Also, the moodlet manager - if you have one - might also get rid of it.

Thanks so much for the info!

I am about to look-up Sims 3 Tiberium to see what it is and what it looks like, I do have some "gems" on a display case - maybe it is there? But I wouldn't think this would still show as 'in inventory'?? Or does it?

No, having tiberium on display wouldn't give you the moodlet.  As you said, it's most likely the moodlet just got stuck through some glitch.  Hopefully the suggestions will work so you can remove it.

I've been having a similar problem but switching from Live mode to Buy or Build mode and back usually fixes the problem. Before I discovered my "fix" I tried using Master Controller to remove the stubborn icon but found that the moodlet wasn't set. In my case, the moodlet was "gone" but the icon hadn't been cleared from the display. Go fig?
