I spent a lot more time in the last couple of days trying to get all my characters into Monte Vista, and I realized....I don't really like this world that much. I found it harder to place things I felt I needed, like the alchemy consignment shop, and the fortune teller's trailer (which I ended up placing on a beach), etc. Once I started placing all my Sims, I realized there wasn't as much space in MV as I thought.
It also is not as crisp in looks as some other worlds (like Moonlit falls, but also ST). I noticed that I have not changed my settings at all (and they are medium/high) and yet the grass looks a bit more blurry/not crisp, and some other detail is not as defined. I also don't think the beaches are at all satisfactory in MV.
It could be part of my personal playing style and the Sims I create--I think they fit in better in a place with a lot of beach access or beach view--but after playing for about 12+ hours, I just don't find myself being that drawn to Monte Vista.
In comparison, I'm sometimes busy building away and become absolutely stunned by how beautiful the landscape of ST can be. And I just started playing Union Cove, and it has it's own appeal: mostly the fact that it is so beautifully built! But Moonlit Falls just fits me well, like an old coat I'm happy to slip into, and I suspect that UC aside, a lot of my games will be in MF or ST.
(edited because I meant to say "crisp" not crips!)
