Sims your Sim graduated with, Adult when you marry them?

I recently had one of my heirs of my ID, marry his high school sweetheart, they had just graduated, were a few days into their YA stage, but when he married her, and she joined the family, she was already an adult? Any idea why that is?

They might have been a babysitter. Babysitters have very odd aging processes (in my own immortal dynasty, I moved in one of the original babysitters once she was a young adult; she aged up to adult the next day).

Ah, that's exactly what is was, I noticed when I brought her in, it said her employment was as a babysitter. Good to know, maybe I might steer clear of those in the future thanks for your help.
