Family Tree Issue.

My sims can't access their family tree. Agnes and Christopher got married had kids ect, and I want to look at the family tree, but when I click on the family tree button it doesn't show. Before Christopher and Agnes died I was able to get on to the family tree but Agnes family, (Goths.) Didn't show up it was just as if they were not related, however when I looked at the relation ship panel they came up as Sister- Brother in Law, ect. Then Agnes and Chris son Cyrus had kids but I cant get in to the family tree. The other family in my household has a normal family tree, does anyone know what might have caused this.

It happened to me after traveling. It was a while ago.
But it was just as you describe it. I couldn't fix it and delete the file.
I hope someone else can help you.

There have been family tree bugs in the past, but they have been fixed for the most part.  Have you tried accessing the family tree in a different game file?

Also, I'm moving this to the Miscellaneous Help thread because it's more about game plan than the technical mechanics of the game.

I had something similar happen, couldn't figure out why I couldn't get any info on the family except the ones who were living, no past ones showed up.  And the parents of sim who married into the family wouldn't show up. 
Then, for some reason it fixed itself; I tried again a couple or three weeks (our time, not sims) later and was able to access the info.

I wish I was of more help, but all I can say is hopefully it will fix itself later on.
