I have been pondering the WA gardening bug for some time and feel I have the solution within my grasp, but it continues to elude me. Perhaps someone here can take this to the finish line.
The problem is that the plants page, for vacation destinations, is blank, and never changes from that state. Result: sims cannot harvest while on vacation. (Unless you have the SN EP.)
However, if you force the collection journal to initialse (by harvesting) while on vacation then the page works normally both for that town and for the home town, but, remains blank for the other two destinations.
If you replace the meta files (as described in the sticky about recovering corrupt games above) the page for the town visited by the temporary family first becomes the harvestable vacation destination. As each town is visited, a vacation destination file is created for that town.
I cannot work out how, but, it seems to me that this meta files replacement may hold the answer to forcing a working harvestable page in the journal for each town.
OK, I may be completely off the wall, but, just maybe there is someone out there with the knowledge to confirm ithe viabilty or impossibility of this.
PS: This is more of an accademic challenge than a must solve. I'm quite happy to play with just one vacation destination harvestable.
