Sims household not appearing in library

Hi All,
I have been playing Sims 3 for several months now, and recently I updated the game and installed some expansion packs.
However I wish to move my family to another town and the new household that I have been playing with since the update is not visible in the library!  The previous two households (or families) are showing up fine and they are also saved in the saved games folder differently.

I cannot post a screenshot directly into this post so I will describe what is in the saved games folder:


OldGame1.sims3.legacy file
OldGame1.sims3.backup file
OldGame1.sims3 folder

OldGame2.sims3 file
OldGame2.sims3.backup file

NewGame.sims3.legacy file
NewGame.sims3 folder
NewGame.sim3.backup folder



Would it have something to do with how the games are now saving differently since the update?
Can anyone tell me how I can save my household to the library?
Note: the GAME is saving fine, but I cannot save just the family so I cannot move them to another town.

I asume that you have tried evicting the family to the clipboard then selecting save the family to the library from the clipboard.   You should see them in the library immediately on doing this.
