Align the wall with roof
« on: January 25, 2013, 09:53:11 AM »
I've got normal wall and diagonal wall. I want create a roof on these walls. But if I create a roof, a wall created by roof is equal and it fly in air. If i remove flying parts of wall and create a diagonal wall under roof on a another diagonal wall, it is visible above the roof. How I can make wall which will not be visible above the roof ? I attach a picture.

For a roof on walls with diagonals try combining roof types together.

I wondered about this, but i want it like in picture. If nobody find a way to do this, I must use another type of roof or let it fly. And thank you for move this topic.

You can't do a successful gable roof over that area that is not square. The best option is probably either the round or octagonal roof as grimsoul has suggested.
We have an article on building the roof here - http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/buildedit/houses/roofs/ Have a look also at the tip and techniques pages too.
