Game spawning inappropriate maternity wear?

Recently had a sim get preggo in game.  She changed into this upon realizing.  (Yeah, that's Agnes.)



So, as her pregnancy progressed, it became apparent that those are not maternity clothes.  Her entire midsection became see-through.  I ended up changing her into her athletic sweats to get screenshots, but I've no idea why the game would do this.  Thoughts?

The shirt is simply flagged as maternity without the proper morphs. I used to have the shirt, and after I couldn't get any screenshots of my founder's wife's pregnancy during my fourth immortal dynasty attempt because of that shirt, I uninstalled it without mercy.

It's a simple mistake for the Store team to make, but pretty darn unprofessional.

I had an interesting problem with my fifth dynasty attempt where one of the mortal roomies tried for baby with his girlfriend from outside the house, and somehow she didn't spin into maternity wear but was definitely pregnant (still did the pregant walk, sims could feel her non-existent tummy, and she gave birth a few days later). Somewhat unrelated, but it confused and amused me.

You can choose maternity wear before it becomes impossible to do so by making the outfits using a dresser after the chimes but before the "aww Nooboo" and just make sure she is wearing them.  Then you'll have the clothes you want for the whole pregnancy.  If you choose to make multiple outfits like one for daily, one for formal and another for sleepwear.  Make sure to have the Sim change into all of those options prior to "the twirl/aww nooboo" point.

My sim did that, I heard the music and it went to her, she twirled and was in her maternity clothes.  Later, when I went to check on her, she was breaking up blocks and in her martial arts outfit.
After her shower, she changed into her regular clothes, the short top and shorts.  It looked as if her tummy was cut and a wedge shape gap was between the two sections.  It was strange looking.  She did the pregnant walk and all, but was in her normal clothes.

The other thing that I thought was strange was I had her mom give her the elixer for procreation, for multple births, but she had only one baby.
