I thought it was an interesting build. I'm no decorator, so I don't usually comment on such matters, but I thought the use of different exterior wall finishing was a little overdone. To me it looked a bit mismatched. Other than the fact that it was a bit sparsely furnished and I would have added a shower or bath to the upper floor, my only concerns were with a few details. My Sim could not cook any meals because none of the counters were usable for food preparation and when they had a quick meal, they had to take their rubbish through the house to the outside garbage bin. Also the only dresser can't be used because it is too close to the arch (I've tried to build walk-ins like that and found they don't work)
Excellent feedback! I never remember to think about ingame feasibility hah. I do need to finish furnishing it, I was running out of contest funds I think. Ok so trashcans in the kitchen. Items usually do not work in small closets. And bathrooms on the first floor. I am no decorator either, I actually was thinking the same thing when I finished twinmum
But I usually use very bland colours and it never looks realistic. So this time I tried to use lots of colours and I think I overdid it. I can never figure out what sections of a house should be colours differently from each other and which sections should utilise the same colour and what texture that colour should be
Someone should write a tutorial on it
I know creativity cannot be taught but I feel like after the initial shell which I usually adore, I am utterly lost on everything from colouring to furnishing hah
