Checking Life Plant Seed
« on: November 12, 2012, 08:41:13 PM »
Hi all, not sure if this is useful, but I found out if your sims have the hidden Pyromaniac trait, you can use their Transmogrify ability to check seeds for Life Fruit before planting them.

As we know, Transmogrify can turn fruits, fruit seeds that are not flame fruit into flame fruits, and the option will show up for those. And out of the 5 Unknown Special Seeds, only 3 are fruits: Flame Fruit, Life Fruit and Plasma Fruit. Flame fruit seed cannot be transmogrified since it is already flame fruit. Plasma plant seed glows a red glow, so we can easily know it is plasma fruit. With these information, if we can transmogrify an Unknown Special Seed, and the seed does not glow red, then it is surely a Life Fruit.

For easy access to Pyromaniacs trait, Beau Merrick, Jessica Talon and Alan Stanley from Bridgeport all have it. Jessica Talon has the additional fire immunity.

Hmm, the mods havent replied to my other guide suggestion. Everybody is busy working on Seasons I guess?  ;D

Patience, young padawan. Yes, they're working on Seasons guides, but they also have non-Sims projects they're working on as well. They may also be doing additional testing on your theories, because I know that for myself, I have a lot of questions for it that I want to ask, but that's not an appropriate forum to do so.

:o Clearly I haven't had a pyromaniac sim yet - I've always wanted one because setting things on fire at will sounds amusing (though possibly highly inconvenient). The Transmogrify ability sounds vaguely familiar now that I think about it, but when reading about traits and such I just glossed over that because, well, FIRE!!! I am Cornholio, I want...yeah, anyway...

I guess I better prioritize George Dean from Riverview to my list of Townies I Should Play One of These Days - he also has the pyromaniac trait from what I understand.

Errr... ya right. ???

Anyway, I did mention George Dean in another topic about Pyromaniac.

Alan Stanley is a Pyromaniac too. If you are a fan of Woody Allen you might like him.

Are there any pyromaniacs in Sunset Valley?

Ladyaya, I am not sure if there is any. You could marry a fireman and the kid might have a chance to be pyromaniac and fire immunity, or just migrate a ready pyromaniac sims from Bridgeport/Riverview.
