No career opportunities

I've been playing the sims 3 for a while, and career opportunities are not appearing or other opportunities other than drink promotion(annoying).
I've checked the options menu and I do not have suppress opportunities checked .
I have all the expansions and cheats. My patch is 1.42.

Which town are you in? There's a very large bug with combined rabbitholes not spawning any ops.
