I type here not because I have a proper solution for this, but just to mention that for me everything just works the way it should. I can play in Riverview, have my store items back so everything works, except for CAW.
Before I was playing Ambitons I've reinstalled everything, exactly like how it is descriped in another topic of you Pam, with that defragmentating, and disc cleanup before installing the game again.
So this is not the same problem as with CAW, where everyone isn't able to play it anymore. It must work, somehow, maybe you just need to keep trying. Of couse I can tell you from A to B how I reinstalled everything (which will take a way a whole free day, no exaggeration) so you are sure for real everything works like it should do, but I doubt that the way I did it is so different from your workflow.
O wait, there is probably a difference. I use Boostspeed to defragmentate and disc cleanup my system. It could be that is the isue, but I doubt it. Although Boosspeed works better than Windows own speedprograms, the Windows programs should be just fine.
