Length of Seasons won't stay set

I've noticed that whenever I start a new game in TS3, all of my settings stay at where I set them for the last game I played... except for the season lengths, which keep resetting themselves to 7 days. Is there any way to stop them from resetting whenever I start a new game?

All settings except for Seasons are universal for every game you play within a Sims 3 folder.   Seasons are set invidually for all save games and university rules so they reset because that's how the game was coded.

When you're in the main menu, change the season lengths to what you want them to be and then start a new game and it should be as they were in the Main menu.
