Travel Bug?

Hopefully this is in the correct place. If not, feel free to move it.

Since Seasons came out I can't seem to travel. Every time I try in my Dynasty file, the game deletes the remaining household members who stay behind. Anyone else having this problem or know of a way to fix it? Obviously, being a Dynasty file, mods are out of the question.

This is a tough one, but the best thing I can think of is moving your Sim to a new save file/town. That will clear the game cache from switching to Seasons in an already open neighborhood to a town that's already adjusted to Seasons from the start. That's the best I can seem to think of doing without mods. The trouble is you lose all of your friends and such but friends can be made again and you can still keep your Dynasty. Good luck!

I'm moving this to the technical board, it's not a question about Seasons and you will also find more help there. These travel bugs are pretty common so someone has probably had a similar experience and might be able to tell you how they fixed their game. LivvieLove's advice is good advice and often solves most problems, I had to do it in my Legacy but lost the first half of my family tree from it but it fixed my issues which was more important.

Thanks, guys. I thought you couldn't ever move from the lot they were placed on in an Immortal Dynasty file?

You can't.  If you can live without traveling, there is no reason to not keep going with your dynasty as is and just forfeit traveling.  I had to give up traveling around generation 5.  My game file size got too large and now it's just not possible.

Bummer. That's where I am generation wise too. Guess I'll just have to live without.
