I'm way too much of a goody-two shoes to give my sims negative traits. I need to, but I just can seem to give one a unlucy, mean, neuotic, insane or other type of traits.
They always have "good" ones, L of O, N. Cook, F-O, Brave, Artistic, and such, depending on career choice I have for them.
On alarms, I have had a home that had an alarm on the inside of the front door and the thief went around the house to the back and entered through the patio of the adult sims, through their room and across the hallway to the kitchen, through to the dinning room, through there to the study, out into the hallway, goes to open the front door and then the alarm went off.
He passed the cop on the way out as he went down the stairs. The stupid fairy cop let him get away.
He stole the hutch in the dinning room.
He could have gone straight down the hallway from the parents room to the dinning room and then back out to a straight line to the front door, or even go back to the kitchen out the side door, which had no alarm. The only one at that time was at the front door.
He passed the side kitchen door as he went to the back; he could have gone straight from there into the dining room and back out, as it had no alarm.
Now, my families put an alarm at every door.
I doubt the programming knows how many alarms are in the house, I think it just reacts to the one the burglar opens, I am guessing here.
The three robberies were a fluke, once in a lifetime thing, I've had too many homes robbed with the thief bypassing the front door (even though it is marked as the front door) to go to another door to get in, always out the front door though.
