Vamp spontaneously becoming a Zombie?

I don't know if this is a bug or what(I don't have Seasons yet, getting that tonight, so excited!)but my vampire, Vica, will occasionally walk out in front of one of my peashooters, suddenly become a zombie(the peashooter didn't shoot her). The peashooter will then proceed to shoot her until she faints and de-zombifies.

Don't you have to be cursed by another zombie to become one? I don't want to start a new game just because of this.

If a Sim decides to attack a pea-shooter, he or she becomes a zombie until the pea-shooter sends him or her to sleep. Your Sim will go back to normal. If you see a pea-shooter in the queue of actions, check to see whether it says "play catch" or "attack."
