I've had mixed results with the disgrace thing, in my test run I found the longer I let them watch, write and photograph me the more likely something bad would be reported, if I left when they arrived nothing ever happened so I ran off whenever I saw a paparazzi taking too much notice and it seemed to work as I never got disgraced during my challenge run. But it's possible that was as much luck as anything.
