Mac users beware

EA still hasn't routed a download for Mac users to a program outside of Origin.  Pretty frustrating when you're waiting so anxiously for the release :/

Mac users can purchase and download a copy of Seasons from https://gametreemac.com. I've purchased from them before without any problems.

Perfect!  I'll be doing that as soon as Amazon refunds me.  I'm bummed that now I won't get the limited edition content now, however.

Yes I hate that we can't get digital downloads from Origin! You would think they would have it for Mac by now with the popularity of the Mac now increasing!

They already said that a Mac version of Origin will be available in February of next year to coincide with the release of the new SimCity.   I always preferred gametreeMac anyway for downloads.  I doubt Origin will be as simple but it was nice to have the .dmg file on a backup and then all it required to reinstall was just opening it up.  Didn't even need a disc and took like 5 times less time to get it all over with.

Thanks Rica I didn't know that it would be available in Feb. that is awesome! This is the first I am hearing of gametreeMac for downloads!

Unfortunately, getting it through GameTree means you're not getting a lot of the exclusive content so that's one thing to consider in the long run.  Otherwise, I use them for downloading way more than Sims.
